Finding Programs in Windows 10
Looking for a program on your Windows 10 system?
Don’t waste time browsing the “All apps” listing. Simply press the Windows key and type part of the program name. Windows will display a list of apps that match your search criterial.
For example, I was looking for a Youtube SEO tool named “jeet” something, so I pressed the Windows key, typed “jeet” and got a list of the matching programs (see diagram below).
Using Windows 10 File Explorer Search
Sure, we all use Windows File Explorer to browse our systems, but have you tried using the search box to search for file types?
- Select a directory in which to begin your search (the search will include all subdirectories).
- Enter one of the following file type searches into the search box (see the diagram below).
- Review the results.
